DW Germany News is a set of channels started on 1 April 1992 by Deutsche Welle. The channel broadcast and produced in Berlin. It concentrates more on news and information. The headquarter of the DW situated in Germany, and it created programs both in English and German languages. Broadcast area of the channel is including Middle East Europe, Africa, and North Africa.

DW News began as RIAS-TV in August 1988 by West Berlin. In 1990 Berlin Wall and German reunification was fallen and RIAS-TV was shut down. Deutsche Welle purchased the RIAS-TV on 1 April 1992 and started an English and German language channel on satellite. DW News Live Stream started 24 hours transmission in 1995 and introduced a new logo and studio. DW established German TV in 2001 for North American viewers, but it was closed down after four years due to low subscriber members.
It was converted into DW-TV. But the programs of the channel were not changes. DW-TV started two new channels in March 2009 DW-TV (Asia) and DW -TV (Asia) + DW-TV (Asia) which produced German programs in 16 hours and 18 hours English programming. On 6 February 2012, Deutsche Welle started its channels again with abbreviation DW and changed the schedule on 22 June 2015. From 2015 it is 24 hours English news channel in Asia and Europe.
